Requirements
Applicants must intend to become an employee in the mining, metallurgy or exploration fields. Must be currently enrolled at the University of Arizona with intent to earn degree from UA and in good standing with the college. Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled for 12 credit hours during current semester; graduate students must be enrolled for 9 credit hours. Must be a member of the UA SME Student Chapter at time of application submission and during semester scholarships are distributed. Expected to register and attend Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner on November 6th, 2026 (free attendance).
